Pancake Bear Bento

A quick bento today, I wanted to use up my chickpea pancakes. I bought the pancake molds at Dollar Tree, there is a star and a heart too. It was fun trying to see how they work. I'll post that later. The bear is peaking over a few animals with his baby corn and papaya seed eyes. Green grape and grape tomatoes on a bed of baby greens. In front dish is a sliced plum, next to it we have leftover chicken piccata, sugar snap peas, and baby corn.
And a lizard on a cactus pad...just for fun!

  4. How did it go with the pancake mold? Mine was not quite as easy as I thought it might be, but once I had two pancake offerings for the birds, I worked out a good system. :-) Looks tasty!

  6. bentobird - aww thanks, you're too kind. Wasn't quite sure what to do with him. The lizard was facing forward until I took the pic then he turned and stayed that way. Have a good night!

    Ha! Thanks Bo!

    Susan - thank you!

Sonoma - I had the batter a little thicker than it should be and it worked okay, but the chickpea pancakes should be pretty thin. I think I'll do a different batter next time for the molds.

Lia Chen - Thanks that nice of you say! I did get my cookbook today! :-)
